Cross your fingers that something like what occurred at Japan’s Fuji International Speedway this month happens soon in North America, Seattleites. Because last week, Nissan’s epic motorsports history was put on grand display at the NISMO Festival, sponsored by Motul.
The event at the Zama Heritage Center saw the attendance of thousands of devout car enthusiasts, as well as even more that watched via NISMO.tv. A celebration of Nissan’s track racing prowess, the shindig proudly displayed vehicles from the manufacturer’s past—going all the way back to 1933’s Datsun 12 Phaeton.
In total, more than 400 vehicles were available at the NISMO Festival, including Group C, Touring, rally, and even Super GT cars. Notably, Nissan’s GT-R was just named “Best Car Ever†at the Dubai International Motor Show earlier this month. The latest in that line—the MY17—offers a wicked 3.8L, 24-valve twin-turbo V6 that generates 565 HP and 467-lb.-ft. of torque.
