Cross your fingers that something like what occurred at Japanâ€™s Fuji International Speedway this month happens soon in North America, Seattleites. Because last week, Nissanâ€™s epic motorsports history was put on grand display at the NISMO Festival, sponsored by Motul.

The event at the Zama Heritage Center saw the attendance of thousands of devout car enthusiasts, as well as even more that watched via NISMO.tv. A celebration of Nissanâ€™s track racing prowess, the shindig proudly displayed vehicles from the manufacturerâ€™s pastâ€”going all the way back to 1933â€™s Datsun 12 Phaeton.

In total, more than 400 vehicles were available at the NISMO Festival, including Group C, Touring, rally, and even Super GT cars. Notably, Nissanâ€™s GT-R was just named â€œBest Car Everâ€ at the Dubai International Motor Show earlier this month. The latest in that lineâ€”the MY17â€”offers a wicked 3.8L, 24-valve twin-turbo V6 that generates 565 HP and 467-lb.-ft. of torque.
