The New York International Auto Show will kick off with an industry event on March 28 and excitement is growing at a rapid pace. Nissan is to thank for that – the automaker is debuting their all-new, fully-redesigned 2019 Altima and consumers are eager to catch a glimpse of the sleek machine.
Â
Luckily for them, Nissan just released a sketch of the 2019 Altima ahead of its official premiere. The image reveals highly expressive lines and hints at the design traits that are sure to define future vehicles.Â
Â
The 2019 Altima is also a follow-up to the automaker’s Vmotion 2.0 concept vehicle, which was first introduced at the 2017 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Like this prototype, the new Altima’s front fascia incorporates a prominent V-shaped front grille, flanked by profiled LED headlights integrated into both the nose and sides of the car. Nissan hasn’t shared interior images of the redesigned sedan, but we expect it to be equally grand with substantial updates to the quality of materials and connectivity technologies.
Â
Under the hood, base models of the new Altima will likely be powered by a naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine mated to a CVT transmission. Some industry insiders expect that an available four-cylinder turbo engine will replace the current V6, which is an optional upgrade. Standard front-wheel drive may be swapped with an all-wheel drive option too, but again – that’s speculation.
Â
Official specs for the 2019 Altima will be released in just a matter of days and we’ll be sure to share those when they become available. In the meantime, you can learn more about this sedan by contacting Kirkland Nissan in Seattle, Washington. We currently have many 2018 models in stock, awaiting your next test drive.
