Nissanâ€™s been doing some serious good again, Kirkland residents!â€¨â€¨Hereâ€™s the scoopâ€”the automaker has announced that, in honor of the Grand Canyon national park and its 100-year anniversary, that they will be donating the Ultimate Parks TITAN to the Grand Canyon Conservancy as part of their partnership with the National Park Foundation.

The Ultimate Parks TITAN is a purpose-built park support vehicle that will offer the youth opportunities in the great outdoors (and specifically in the Grand Canyon National Park), thereby assisting with the parkâ€™s Canyon Field School.

The Ultimate Parks TITAN has been smartly based off the 2019 Nissan TITAN XD Gas PRO-4X Crew Cab. As a result, it comes with a 5.6-liter EnduranceÂ® V8 engine that kicks out 390 horses and 394 lb-ft of torque. Further, it comes packed with a four-wheel-drive system that enhances traction.

Nissanâ€™s up to some good things, Tacoma! The company announced this week that, in honor of the Grand Canyonâ€™s 100-year anniversary as a national park, the automaker will be donating the Ultimate Parks TITAN purpose-built park support vehicle to the Grand Canyon Conservancy.

The donation comes as part of Nissanâ€™s partnership with the National Park Foundation. The Ultimate Parks TITAN support vehicle will assist the Grand Canyon Conservancyâ€™s Canyon Field School by offering opportunities for youths to enjoy everything the great outdoors has to offer and, specifically, the amazing qualities of the Grand Canyon National Park.

The Ultimate Parks TITAN is based on the 2019 Nissan TITAN XD Gas PRO-4X Crew Cab. As such, it is powered by the 5.6-liter EnduranceÂ® V8 engine which produces 390 HP and 394 lb-ft of torque. All-terrain traction is offered through the sophisticated four-wheel-drive system, too.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has released theÂ findings from their latest passenger-side small overlap front tests for trucks. In their report, the organization claims that most pickups struggled to maintain their structures during the evaluation. However, there was one shining star â€“ the 2019 Nissan Titan.

Out of the 11 trucks evaluated, the Titan managed to receive a Good rating for both the passenger- and driver-side overall tests, which is the highest grade possible. The pickup specifically scored well in the areas of restraint and kinematics, head and neck, chest, hip and thigh, lower leg and foot. The truck also earned an Acceptable rating for structure.
