During the 2017 Spa 24-Hour Race in Belgium, the unthinkable happened to the Nissan GT-R Nismo team. No. 22, driven by Matt Simmons, Struan Moore and Matthew Parry, caught a puncture during practice in the Eau Rouge corner, causing the race car to plummet into the wall at 100 mph.Â
Â
Thankfully, the driver was okay, but the GT-R Nismo was not. Rather than accept defeat, the team had 41 hours to completely rebuild the car before the race. They were up for the challenge.

Despite the team’s successful attempt at rebuilding the vehicle, No. 22 only managed to muster up a 30th-place finish in the endurance contest. However, the team’s grit, stamina and perseverance were certainly podium worthy in the eyes of GT-R Nismo fans.Â
