According to a press release, the Nissan Group ended the summer off with a bang selling 112,376 units in August 2018, which is an increase of 4 percent compared to the same time last year. This gain was largely due to the Nissan Murano, which set a summer sales record, selling 9,619 units. Compared to last August’s 4,895 units, that’s an increase of almost 97 percent!
Â
This isn’t the first time that the Murano has taken the charts by storm. In July, the crossover experienced an uptick, even though Nissan as a whole saw a 15 percent decrease in overall sales when compared to the same time last year.
Â
So what’s all the fuss about, you ask? Why are crossover shoppers congregating to the Murano? It’s the vehicle’s enhanced feature set.Â
Â
For 2018, Nissan augmented the Murano by offering even more standard and available equipment, which are first-class in nature and wildly purposeful. This includes the tech options on the vehicle, which now include a new Premium Package that boasts a wide range of driver-assist and convenience features. With this add-on, motorists can benefit from an Intelligent Around View Monitor and Intelligent Cruise Control, as well as an Intelligent Driver Alertness feature. There is also a Power Panoramic Moonroof, Bose premium audio system with 11 speakers, and heated front seats and outside mirrors to sweeten the pot.

The 2018 Murano delivers drivers even more value than previous models. To learn more about this premium platform, including pricing and specs, contact our team at Kirkland Nissan in Seattle for a test drive.
