The GT-R is already one of the most celebrated cars of all time, and now Nissanâ€™s achievement has taken home another award courtesy of the many enthusiasts attending the past weekâ€™s blowout vehicle exhibition in the Middle East. The Dubai International Motor Show has crowned the speedster the â€œBest Car Ever.â€

The award came during the â€œIgnition Live Talksâ€ open session, wherein the GT-R was pitted against 30 different car models across the brand spectrum. The crowd of eager spectators and participants eventually whittled the field down to only three. Nissanâ€™s gem took top honors, with the Porsche 911 and Ford Mustang taking second and third, respectively.

The model on displayâ€”the MY17 GT-Râ€”offers the latest, most progressive Nissan aesthetic available. This includes a new hood with a wind-cutting shape, side sills designed specifically for improvedÂ airflow, and, of course, the standout chrome â€œV-motionâ€ front grille. Notably, the car also sports a 3.8L, 24-valve twin-turbo V6 that stuns with 565 horses and 467-lb.-ft. of torque. Insane!
