Latest Nissan News For Seattle, Tacoma, And Bellevue Washington
If you spend your days being punished on the job site or overworked on a weekend project around the house, you need a comfortable truck to cradle your tired body after a day of back-breaking labor. Despite what society might deem as appropriate, you deserve cushy seating, stretch out room and refined interior details and materials. Allow the 2018 Nissan Frontier to indulge your need for comfort.

According to a recent press release, Nissan's half-ton truck delivers what drivers have been clamoring for - exceptional flexibility and utility with interior features that offer outstanding functionality and comfort.

With seating for five passengers across its two-row design, the Frontier is appointed with the choice of unique cloth seats or plush leather, depending on the trim level you choose. Adjustments are made easy with multi-way driver and passenger seats and integrated lumbar supports.

Higher level trims, like the PRO-4Xs and SLs, come equipped with upgraded leather-wrapped steering wheels and shift knobs, which feel nicer as they glide through tired hands. Power-adjustable heated side mirrors are also standard on certain grades, allowing drivers to make quick modifications on the fly without leaving the comfort of the cabin.

And when it comes to legroom, the 2018 Frontier welcomes long limb passengers with up to 42.4-inches in the front and 33.6-inches in the back. Struggles for stretch out space are a thing of the past with this truck.

Great news, mid-size truck shoppers! The 2018 Frontier is now available for sale at Kirkland Nissan in Seattle, Washington. If you haven’t had a chance to check out this all-new model, you’ll want to schedule your test drive in one today.

Since 1998, the Frontier has been a staple in Nissan’s line-up, delivering light commercial operators and truck enthusiasts with ample power and off-road capabilities. However, over its 20 years, the Frontier’s looks and standard features have largely remained unchanged – until now.

For the 2018 MY, Nissan has given the Frontier a full refresh since its second-generation unveiling, which debuted in 2005. Enhancements now include the addition of a standard RearView Monitor across all models and updated base grade content, such as air conditioning, cruise control, a Bluetooth Hands-free Phone System, 5.0-inch color display audio, and Siri Eyes Free.

The 2018 Frontier is available in both King Cab and Crew Cab body styles and in 4x2 and 4x4 driveline configurations, along with a choice of two powerful engines: a 4.0-liter DOHC V6 rated at 261 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque and a 152-horsepower 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder engine (which is available only on the King Cab). Five well-equipped trim grades are also offered: Frontier S (with a 4-cylinder or V6 engine), SV, PRO-4X (4x4 only), Desert Runner (4x2 V6 only) and SL (Crew Cab V6 only).

But, that’s not all. Later this year, a new Midnight Edition Package will also be available on 2018 Frontier trucks. It will include a gloss black grille, 18-inch gloss black aluminum-alloy wheels, semi-gloss black step rails, body-color front and rear bumpers, black outside rearview mirrors and door handles, and black badging. Frontier owners can add a factory-direct Midnight Edition to Crew Cab SV 4x2 and 4x4 automatic transmission models in a choice of Magnetic Black, Gun Metallic and Glacier White.

Last fall, Nissan announced that their Canton Vehicle Assembly Plant in Mississippi will be the new home of the next-generation Frontier pickup truck. And since then, Frontier fanatics have been anxiously awaiting more details of this highly anticipated mid-size workhorse.

Nissan has yet to release a timeline for the redesigned Frontier, but automotive speculators expect that the newcomer will go into production this year in preparation to launch the 2019 MY truck. It has also been confirmed by a top Nissan executive that the all-new Frontier will feature a V6 engine under the hood. As for what kind of six-cylinder engine, that’s still to be determined. However, industry insiders expect it to be a naturally aspirated V6 with a focus on reliability, making it an ideal contender as a work truck.

The timing for a next-gen Frontier couldn’t be better, as the mid-size pickup has been long overdue for a complete refresh. It certainly could benefit with newer equipment, updated styling, and a more refined interior to contend with modern rivals. Then again, for many Frontier drivers, they prefer the current model just as it is since it offers affordable work truck abilities, a configurable cargo box, and nice driving dynamics.

But, as we have seen with other Nissan refreshes, the best just keeps getting better – and we expect the same with this mid-size pickup.
