Seattle, get your camo ready! Nissan has finally released information regarding its highly anticipated Armada Mountain Patrol – an overlanding SUV, which is being released on the tails of the automaker’s previous Titan-based Project Bootcamp.Â
Â
With the Armada Mountain Patrol, outdoor enthusiasts will benefit from impressive off-road capabilities, great on-road comfort and a suite of Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies, ready to tackle any adventure. Built on a stock 2018 Armada, this all-wheel drive SUV offers immense performance from its beefy 5.6-liter Endurance V8 engine, which is rated at a best-in-class 390-horsepower and boasts a monstrous 8,500-lb towing capacity. Nissan is dubbing it the ultimate overlanding vehicle, complete with the necessary tech, camping comforts and tools for life in the wild.
Â
But, before the automaker can officially release the Mountain Patrol this May at the 2018 Overland Expo WEST in Flagstaff, Arizona, they are turning to you – their fans – to help decide the tire model, exterior design (vinyl wrap) and roof-mounted tent for the SUV. To cast your votes, head on over to @NissanUSATrucks on Instagram and Facebook and be sure to use the hashtag #MountainPatrol.
