Word on the street is that an all-new Nissan Altima is coming for the 2019 model year and it has Seattle area sedan shoppers very excited. The redesigned vehicle will debut next month at the 2018 New York International Auto Show, which is scheduled for March 28.
Â
This will be the sixth generation for the Altima, which hasn't been revamped since 2013. A top-secret prototype was spotted last summer and Nissan also previewed the design with the Vmotion 2.0 concept car at the 2017 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

Â
Industry insiders don't have any concrete details to share about the next-gen Altima, but some are speculating that the sedan will keep much of its current foundation with some variations. There is talk about a four-cylinder powerplant, as well as the possibility of V6 and hybrid options for drivers wanting increased performance or better fuel economy. Front-wheel drive with CVT is expected to be the standard setup, though some automotive journalists have said that an all-wheel-drive option might be available too. There is also some speculation that Nissan will include some of its ProPilot technologies on the 2019 Altima as well.

Only time will tell what's in store for the next model year. We are eagerly awaiting news from the upcoming New York International Auto Show and will be sure to provide updates as they are released.
