buy a new nissan 370z near seattle washingtonJust how powerful is the 370Z? We’re happy you asked. Just last year Nissan delivered three brand new Nismo models to Tokyo’s Metropolitan Police force, if that’s any indication of where this car stands relative to everything else rolling along the highway these days.

Even the standard coupe it built to deliver an exhilarating ride, with a 3.7L V6 engine capable of 332 HP at 7, 000 RPM and 270 lb-ft of torque at 5, 200. Couple that with its hydraulic power steering, and you’ll have no issue hitting the ground running in this delightfully nimble sports car.

Now looks certainly aren’t everything, but with the 370z, its beauty is hard to avoid. With a style that’s the best of both worlds, this vehicle’s hatchback design and swooping front hood (with custom shaped head and tail lights to boot) looks like a poster-car for the distant future of American muscle. Bucket seats and dial-style dashboard instrumentation preserve the racy feel on the inside— in the rare event that its speed and handling aren’t enough to get your blood pumping.

Consumers that make their purchases and run their lives with the welfare of the environment in mind continue to turn to Nissan. That fact has been underscored this week with the company’s recognition in the CDP’s 2017 Global Water Report as an “A list” business for H20 stewardship. Additionally, the automaker garnered a “Leadership-level” rating in the same body’s climate change assessment for the fourth consecutive year.

Previously known as the Carbon Disclosure Project, the CDP annually ranks global companies for their efforts in reducing CO2 emissions and effectively managing water usage. Out of greater than 2,000 businesses surveyed, Nissan was one of only 74 that made this year’s “
A list” for H20 management. The honor comes as the automaker continues to promote usage reductions across all their production facilities via savvy tech and supply-chain optimizations.

Nissan is now working to reduce “well-to-wheel” CO2 emissions in both their conventional gasoline and progressive electric vehicles. The goal is to have the year 2000 levels shrunk by 90% by 2050. Further technology initiatives, such as expanding vehicle charging infrastructure in cities for the LEAF, will help make this possible.

great deals on new nissan titans in seattle washingtonThe last Nissan Titan update was quite a long time ago. And when customers are faced with any hiatus, it’s understandable why expectations might be dwindling by about the halfway mark. But after a tidal wave of accolades and awards all over the country following this vehicle’s return in 2016, the only thing we should be sure of now is one simple fact: you can’t rush good art.

A 380-hp 5.6L Endurance V8 rumbles beneath the Titan’s hood, helping to give it an unbelievable 9,390 lbs of towing capacity. Suffice to say, the days of being on the fence about a lumber load limit are long gone. Rough country is no match for this pickup either: leaf spring/double wishbone suspension on the back and front respectively, and 6-speed automatic transmission ensure that there’s no incline too steep or terrain too jagged to stop this beast.

Who ever said your truck couldn’t be capable and comfortable? With loads of features, including a fold-down middle console in the front and keyless start capabilities, the Titan is just as successful at keeping people moving as it is at projects.

Cross your fingers that something like what occurred at Japan’s Fuji International Speedway this month happens soon in North America, Seattleites. Because last week, Nissan’s epic motorsports history was put on grand display at the NISMO Festival, sponsored by Motul.

The event at the Zama Heritage Center saw the attendance of thousands of devout car enthusiasts, as well as even more that watched via NISMO.tv. A celebration of Nissan’s track racing prowess, the shindig proudly displayed vehicles from the manufacturer’s past—going all the way back to 1933’s Datsun 12 Phaeton.

In total, more than 400 vehicles were available at the NISMO Festival, including Group C, Touring, rally, and even Super GT cars. Notably, Nissan’s GT-R was just named “Best Car Ever” at the Dubai International Motor Show earlier this month. The latest in that line—the MY17—offers a wicked 3.8L, 24-valve twin-turbo V6 that generates 565 HP and 467-lb.-ft. of torque.

New Nissan Service Gives Glimpse of How Car-sharing Could Impact Seattle, Other Cities

Sometimes, folks in a big city need the convenience of short-term, on-demand car rental services. As part of their Intelligent Mobility initiative, Nissan is stepping up to the plate in Japan with a vehicle-sharing club that is poised to show off their myriad of advanced technologies.

Beginning on January 15, 2017, Nissan’s car-sharing service, e-share
mobi, will begin operation at 30 locations throughout Kyoto, Shiga, Nara, Tokyo, and other Japanese prefectures. The automaker will leverage their fleet of Note e-POWER and LEAF vehicles to bring their electric and autonomous driving systems to the masses.

Nissan’s e-share mobi carries no monthly membership fee and zero distance-based fees. Instead, users can register and use the service on their own terms, with their license acting as their club card. Both the LEAF and Note e-POWER vehicles will provide consumers with the manufacturer’s ProPILOT autonomous driving technology and “Around View Monitor,” offering a virtual bird’s-eye look from above the car. If you're planning a trip to Japan, applications can be filled out here.

We’ll keep you updated as to whether such a car-sharing service makes it to Seattle and other American cities. In the interim, don’t hesitate to give us a call to discuss Nissan’s ProPILOT technology!

As consumers, whenever any of us purchases consumer goods, we’re looking for the best design and engineering. This desire is exponentially heightened whenever we make a large, life-altering buy, such as a car. That’s why Seattleites and those the world over looking for a new ride should take great heart in the results of this year’s 2017 Ipsos Product Quality Awards. The event bestowed a number of commendations on Nissan across six categories.

The 2017 Ipsos Product Quality Awards compiled results based on customer interviews (9,000 total in South Africa) and research. The latter was amassed through Vehicle Quality Surveys (VQS) with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). These polls offer insight into automobile benchmarks at the three-month-service interval. And boy, did Nissan come out looking great.

The Japanese automaker took the honors of “Top Box” position in all eight Ipsos Product Quality Awards segments. Nissan also “medaled” in six other categories—three of which were gold. Here is the full breakdown:
  • "Best volume passenger car brand overall” (Gold)
  • "Best one-ton single cab LCV-Local commercial vehicle brand” (Gold)
  • "Best one-ton double cab LCV-Local commercial vehicle brand” (Gold)
  • "Best local plant manufacturer LCV-Light commercial vehicle” (Silver)
  • Nissan X-Trail: "Best RV-Recreational vehicle by model” (Silver)
  • "Best overall LCV-Light commercial vehicle brand” (Bronze)

This week, the 2018 Nissan Kicks made its North American debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show and, not surprisingly, the response from automotive journalists and enthusiasts has been incredibly upbeat.

Industry watchers are hailing the all-new Kicks for its youthful, yet sophisticated appeal, as well as its slightly larger interior, which was lacking on the Nissan Juke – the subcompact SUV that the Kicks replaces. In fact, the Kicks more than doubles the cargo capacity from behind the rear seats from 11 cu-ft. in the Juke to 25.3 cu-ft.

But, despite its larger interior, the Kicks does feature less power under the hood. It comes standard with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, which produces 125 horsepower compared to the Juke’s 188 horses. There is an upside though and that’s excellent fuel efficiency. Nissan estimates that the 2018 Kicks will garner 33 mpg combined, which is sure to appease eco-conscious urbanites.

Inside, the interior features a clean, modern look with all trim levels featuring a 7-inch color infotainment system, three USB ports, automatic emergency braking and forward-collision warning. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility is also available, as well as a blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning and around-view monitor.

The all-new Kicks will go on sale in June 2018, so you’ll need to be patient as you await your next test drive. To learn more, contact us at Kirkland Nissan in Seattle, Washington.

Last year, Nissan created a stir at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show by debuting a custom Rogue decked out like an X-Wing for the launch of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

This year, Nissan is at it again, but this time they turned to the dark side for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which opens nationwide on December 15. And instead of one vehicle, Nissan unveiled seven Star Wars-themed concept vehicles. The Force is definitely strong at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show!

The lineup of Nissans includes the Rogue, Rogue Sport, Altima, Maxima and Titan. Each vehicle showcases its own distinctive design, which was created in collaboration between Lucasfilm and Vehicle Effects – a California-based company best-known for their custom cars in the latest Fast and Furious movies.

Here's a behind-the-scenes look at the Lucasfilm brain trust, which was influential in creating these Nissan show cars, which are drawing massive crowds in LA:

Unfortunately for Seattle area Star Wars fans, these concept vehicles are not for sale. However, they do celebrate a new world of technology, which are attracting consumers to many of Nissan’s latest models, like the highly-anticipated 2018 Kick or the next-generation Leaf.

To learn more about any of these vehicles and their cutting-edge technologies, please contact Kirkland Nissan in Seattle, Washington to speak with a member of our sales team.

May the Force be with you always!

For those who want a crossover that can easily glide through cityscapes and countrysides alike, the 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport is guaranteed to provide an exhilarating experience that’s the best of both worlds— and then some.

The bluetooth-compatible entertainment/communication system with SiriusXM will make it seem to go by in the blink of an eye too, leaving you more energy for memory making (and the occasional highway singalong).

Head into town and the Rogue’s performance is equally as jaw-dropping, boasting a rearview camera and in-dash monitor, civic fuel economy of 24 mpg, and powerful anti-theft system. What’s more, at a whole foot shorter than its predecessor, expect to handle terrifyingly tight turns with next to no effort.

Great news, Seattle EV enthusiasts! On Monday, Nissan announced that the 2018 Leaf will be arriving at North American dealerships in January.

The second-generation Leaf is currently in production at Nissan’s expansive assembly plant in Smyrna, Tennessee – one of three locations globally that will build the vehicle, along with the Oppama plant in Yokosuka, Japan, and a factory in Sunderland, England. The Smyrna facility currently produces five other models, including the Nissan Altima, Maxima, Pathfinder and Rogue, as well as the Infiniti QX60.

The Nissan Leaf has been in production at the Smyrna assembly plant since 2013, with more than 114,550 vehicles sold in the United States since 2011. The team couldn’t be more excited to see 2018 model roll off their production line. Watch them beam with pride in this video:

The 2018 Leaf also offers an increased range (up to 150 miles) and incorporates standard Nissan Intelligent Mobility features, such as Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) and e-Pedal technology.
