Get ready, Seattle! The 2018 Nissan LEAF, due for debut early next year, is already stacking up international awards. The first honor for this incredible all-electric, zero-emission vehicle comes courtesy of the Consumer Electronics Showâ€™s (CES) â€œUnveiledâ€ ceremony.

At the special event, the 2018 LEAF garnered the â€œBest of Innovationâ€ award in the â€œVehicle Intelligence and Self-Driving Technologyâ€ segment. Additionally, it was the conventionâ€™s honoree in the â€œTech for a Better Worldâ€ category. The distinctions come ahead of the annual January CES main show in Las Vegas, where Nissan will have the futuristic car on full display for eager event goers.

The LEAFâ€™s â€œBest of Innovationâ€ award reflects Nissanâ€™s savvy approach through the leveraging of its ProPILOT Assist technology, which brings adaptive cruise control and single-lane semi-autonomous driving functionality to the hatchback. The carâ€™s all-new engine for 2018 will also thrill owners by delivering 147 horses and 236-lb.-ft. of torque.

Nissan values fan opinion and there are few things more fun than discussing the merits of the companyâ€™s many racing cars. Thus, the Japanese manufacturer launched the #NISMOtop20 competition, pitting their most brilliantly engineered vehicles against each other in the ultimate consumer vote. The result? The Skyline GT-R R32 took the crown.

The Nissan Skyline GT-R R32 was put up against the Blancpain GT Series, the Bathurst 12 Hour, and the GT300-winning GT-R NISMO GT3; the Super GT 2014/15-winning GT-R NISMO GT500l and the 2003 JGTC-winning Skyline GT-R R34.

Aside from its famous inclusion in Sony PlayStationâ€™s Gran Turismo video game series, the Skyline GT-R R32 has a long, distinguished history of excellence. Although Nissan only produced the vehicle for five years, it garnered highest honors across three continents. Of note is its Australian Touring Car victory in 1991 and 1992 with Bathurst 1000 victories both times. Even more fantastically, the racer took the top prize in each Japanese Touring Car Championship offered from 1990 through 1993.

Green Car Reports has the upcoming next-generation Nissan LEAF as one of their finalists for â€œBest Car to Buy 2018.â€ Why? Well, in a pinch, it comes down to affordability, great styling, and superior performance.

â€œIf any electric car aside from the Tesla Model 3 can be called "long-awaited," it would be the redesigned 2018 Nissan Leaf,â€ says Green Car Reports. Their contention is a fair oneâ€”the redesigned all-electric vehicle is set to make a splash with high technology that comes at a base price of just $30,875â€”$7,000 less than a Chevy Bolt EV. And with that low cost comes the pleasure of a redesigned exterior thatâ€™s sportier, more upright, and at home among the manufacturerâ€™s other hatchback options.

Performance in the 2018 LEAF is also set to be superlative. The new electric engine will wow with 147 horses and 236-lb.-ft. of torque. This represents an increase over the previous year of tremendous proportion. Thereâ€™s now 40 HP and 49-lb.-ft. torque more than experienced previously.

Nissan is on the forefront of technology. Theyâ€™ve made that even more abundantly clear recently with the announcement of the extension of their semi-autonomous ProPILOT functionality on upcoming LEAF models.

While the technologically advanced system brings adaptive cruise control to vehicles that support the standard, ProPILOT Park takes matters one step further. It aids in navigating the LEAF into either a parallel or perpendicular spot. Once youâ€™re alongside the space you plan on occupying, the vehicle will place an overlay on the designated area on the center display, alerting you that the system is ready. Then, you need only tap the screen and press the main consoleâ€™s corresponding button to activate the feature.

Once activated, ProPILOT Park will automatically navigate your LEAF into the spot via an autonomous multi-point turn. If it fails to get it right the first time, it will perform up to seven total maneuvers in order to finish the job. You may also make adjustments to the area designated on the center console display via directionalÂ buttonsÂ if required.Â

Great news, Seattle drivers! The new 2018 Rogue is now available for sale at Kirkland Nissan!Â

With 2017 drawing to a close, weâ€™re starting to welcome new 2018 model year vehicles into our inventory, like the highly-anticipated Nissan Sentra. For 2018, the Sentra will be offered in six trim levels: S, SV, SR, SL, SR Turbo and NISMO. All are available with Nissanâ€™s Xtronic automatic transmission, but the S, SR Turbo and NISMO do come standard with six-speed manual transmission.

Under the hood, the 2018 model comes with the choice of two engine options â€“ a 1.8-liter four-cylinder on lower trims and a spirited 1.6-liter direct injection gasoline turbocharged engine on upper trims. All 2018 Sentras also include Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), except those with manual transmissions or a NISMO badge.Â

New for this year, the S model is sporting some noticeable upgrades too, like a standard RearView Monitor and 5â€ color display with Streaming Audio via Bluetooth and Siri Eyes-Free. Higher trims also feature Dual-Zone Automatic Temperature Control and Intelligent Cruise Control.

Nissanâ€™s 2018 LEAF electric vehicle is prepped to offer Seattleites semi-autonomous driving goodness. This same ProPILOT technology has been announced for integration into the automakerâ€™s Serena e-POWER van, debuted at the Tokyo Motor Show 2017.

While the hard details on the Serena e-POWERâ€™s engine are being kept under wraps, its Japanese release in spring 2018 will merge the quietness and fuel efficiency of an electric vehicle with the single-lane autonomous driving features offered in the LEAF and elsewhere, including ProPILOT Assist adaptive cruise control. This Nissan system will enable the van to automatically control its distance from the car traveling to its front, braking as necessary while also staying within its intended lane.Â

The Serena electric van will also take some nifty design cues from the 2018 LEAF. The grille will see a similar level of special design attention, with a futuristic blue-accented chrome bar design that hearkens to the aforementioned hatchbackâ€™s similarly colored geometric front pattern. Plus, LED tail lamps and aerodynamic aluminum wheels await owners.

The Tokyo Motor Show 2017 was a busy event for Nissan. The Japanese automaker unveiled a number of vehicles, including the new Serena e-POWER, a minivan with an electric-drive system.

The second model in Nissanâ€™s lineup to feature e-POWER, the technology pulls upon the manufacturerâ€™s expertise developed through their LEAF line. Unlike that carâ€™s setup, however, this system was first introduced in Japan in November 2016 and utilizes a small gasoline motor to charge the battery. The result? An elimination of the external charger, moving the automaker even further ahead of the competition.

While firm details on the drivetrain of the new Serena are not yet available, the previous e-POWER vehicle, the Nissan Note, sports a 1.2L three-cylinder HR12DE motor that packs a 1.5 kWh battery. Further, it integrates the EM57 traction engine seen in the LEAF. While this may give us a preview of what to expect from the companyâ€™s latest wonder car, weâ€™ll know for sure in the coming months as itâ€™s expected to see Japanese release in spring 2018.

When the Nissan GT-R was unveiled in 2008, it brought Seattle drivers supercar performance for just under $70K. Since then, the MSRP has crept above the six-figure mark, but thatâ€™s about to change. Nissan recently announced that pricing for the entry-level 2018 GT-R Pure will sit below the $100K range, making it more accessible to a wider pool of North American drivers.

Hereâ€™s a look at Nissanâ€™s pricing structure:

2018 GT-R Pure: $99,990 MSRP

This trim is designed to be the most affordable, but still performance-oriented. Its 3.8-liter, twin-turbocharged V6 throws down an impressive 565 horsepower and 467 lb.-ft. of torque.

2018 GT-R Premium: $110,490 MSRP

The Premium adds a few more creature comforts to its list of standard features, including an 11-speaker Bose sound system, titanium exhaust and active noise cancellation.Â

2018 GT-R Track Edition: $128,490 MSRP

The Track Edition, now in its second year of limited availability, delivers the same 565 horsepower of the Pure and Premium trims, but with certain features only found in the GT-R NISMO.Â

2018 GT-R NISMO: $175,490 MSRP

The NISMO, which is available in very limited numbers, is a supercar engineered with the track in mind. It features specially designed technologies that enhance the car's 600 horses through optimized aerodynamics, suspension and powertrain.Â
